Redesigning a whole site is a wonderful challenge. You get to cover a lot of ground and try to make all of the design elements tie together. The problem with doing a redesign for yourself is that you are often your own worst critic. While in years past I have done sites I’m quite proud of, and tweaked and worked on other websites that really made me cringe. I’ve never felt 100% sold on my own web presence.

With the latest redesign I treated myself more like a client. Asked myself all the same questions and leveled the same critiques back at myself after design attempts were made. I love the outcome. The new look for Puzzle Piece Productions is more than just a revamp or a rehashing of old ideas. Content was refreshed and examples of work I’m proud of were listed. Please wander around the website. And whether you are looking for a new logo or a new look for your existing site please feel free to contact us. We Want to work with you, and relish all design challenges.

This is also the start of a new era after being around as a Sole proprietorship for a decade Puzzle Piece Productions is officially Puzzle Piece Productions LLC now!

Without a doubt it would be a Logo. When I consider all that that little image needs to do for someone, all it needs to convey, and represent, I get excited. One image to tell your story.

One small box to show yourself off, represent who you and your company are. There is a lot riding on that one little piece of design. And quite frankly the rest of the site is gravy after the logo is done. A logo done right can stand alone. It can scale from a tiny button on a phone to a large sign and still command respect.

A logo done wrong is a wasted opportunity to start your story, to begin to tell your side of things. While a logo done right fades into the background of a design, and reinforces everything you and your company are.

It is the hardest piece of any design puzzle to find. The corner piece, quite literally in most websites. Once this piece is found and crafted to the proper shape the rest of the design work is less challenging. I love doing logo design because it is the hardest thing to do, in the entire process. I enjoy the challenge

It takes time to get things back up and running and right now we are working on getting the Podcast Studio / Lair back up and running as it should be. For those of you not in the know we had a minor flood which required major work to be done on the office before it was once more fit for man or beast to inhabit.

The majority of the grunt work has been done with minimal disruption in services but we should be able to get everything back up and going forward in short order.
